Pumpkin Patch

I was so excited to take Kaitlin to the Pumpkin Patch this year.I have always seen pictures of families in a field of pumpkins and I was really looking forward to my pumpkin patch day with Kaitlin!Last year our grumpy pumpkin was not up for playing in the dirt!

This year I knew she would love being outside and running wild. I had built this pumpkin patch up in my head to be an amazing place that would have rows of beautiful pumpkins and we would have the perfect pumpkin photo shoot with Kaitlin. Apparently it is a farm that grows pumpkins and we had to actually look for the pumpkins to pick. ( I still am a city girl at heart I guess!) There were only a few to be found and not many were pretty.  Kaitlin was busy running as fast as she could to find a pumpkin. Then she was busy picking up little pumpkins and making a pile. She loved being in the dirt and did not sit still one second for any cute picture to be taken. It was the best day for her and I learned a very important lesson while pumpkin picking! This day was not what I has expected but Kaitlin had so much fun and that is what it is ALL about.

  1. There is a pumpkin patch just north of the Missouri border, about 30-40 minutes from here, that is FABULOUS. SO MUCH BETTER than the one here. We are going Saturday. Let me know if you want info on it, and I'll send it to you.
