Storm Story

I have not been very adventurous since moving to Ohio! It is not easy learning a new city with a 3 month old and a 3 year old! I have a very limited sense of direction so getting lost is always a real possibility when ever I leave The house! Dad came to help me with learning some areas and finding some new places in a new city! It is so reassuring to navigate with another adult! We left for our adventure and the sky looked a little cloudy but we figured a little rain would be ok! As we start driving further into town the sky turned dark grey, then navy, then BLACK! Here is the sky in the early stages of he storm!

We noticed it was getting very windy then the storm hit! We had no idea at the time but we were in a severe thunderstorm with 82 mile per hour winds! Great time to finally get out and go exploring! There were flying boxes, lawn furniture, grills, even huge trampolines being tossed around! We were so thankful to not be hurt! There were down trees everywhere and most of the city is without power!

We are very lucky to have power and air conditioning! Hoping this is the biggest adventure for a while!

 

 

The Zoo

We went to the Columbus Zoo this weekend and had an amazing time! We had heard how amazing the zoo was but it exceeded our high expectations!

Kaitlin had the best time and we can't wait to go back! We happened to be in the area during a meet the zookeeper time at the gorillas! Kaitlin was so attentive and did not want to miss anything!

Then she found a stick and decided to show the gorillas and the audience! The zoo was huge as big as some theme parks and we were there a long time and did not get to see all the animals!

Of course we had to get our picture made with Jack Hannah!

 

Sweet Colin was great the entire time and never fussed or cried all day! I see many more zoo days in our future!

 

 

Road Trip

After 2 days of driving we finally made it to Ohio! We are so thankful to Not be in the car today and getting settled into our temporary housing!

We had the best drive from NWA to St. Louis! Everyone slept and Kory and I got to have a long conversation! It was wonderful! After that poor Colin was lonely and would cry and cry! We got him out to feed him and he would just grin! Sweet baby just missed us!

Kaitlin was great and watched her DVDs

She was not a fan of Colin crying! They were both troopers and we are never going anywhere ever again!

Poor Kory did a great job of packing! It is favorite thing to do!

everyone in so happy today! I think they are afraid I will take them on another road trip if they get too crazy!

Our next day went much better! And there was minimal crying from anyone! We have been exploring and unpacking today!

 

 

 

 

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Happy Father’s Day Kory! We love you so much and are so thankful for the wonderful husband and Daddy that you are to our family!

We are also so blessed to have such wonderful fathers in our life!! We have learned so much from our Dads and we are so thankful for their guidance, wisdom, and love!!

Goodbye Arkansas

It is a very bittersweet day for our family as we leave a place that has felt like home for the past 2 years! Kaitlin has celebrated every birthday here and we added our sweet baby boy to our family!

June 2012 The week we said goodbye

I am so blessed to have met such a wonderful group of girls that have been thru the best and worst two years of my life! They have faithfully prayed for me and given such wonderful Godly counsel! They have been there with texts, emails, meals, and listening ears!I will never forget them and how much they helped me thru such hard times! They had a going away dinner for me at Abuelos! Such a sweet time! I am really going to miss them!

Kaitlin is having a hard time understanding what moving is and she has been out of sorts for a few weeks! She has said her goodbyes to all her toys and last night even told the bathtub goodbye! My prayer for the move is for safety and an easy adjustment for Kaitlin!

I guess I have started a tradition of taking pictures on the last day before  we move! So I had to keep up that tradition! Kaitlin was not excited but I took a few!

This is the house we brought Baby Colin home from the hospital! He will always be from Arkansas!

We have been so blessed by our time here in Arkansas!  Our church has been such a blessing and we have watched our children grow up before our eyes! We have such wonderful memories in our house and it is sad to say goodbye! But we take our memories with us and are excited a new adventure for our sweet little family of four!

Animal House

We have had a lot of showing on our house and we are so thankful for each showing! We are trying to get creative about our adventures during showings with a 3 year old and a 3 month old!

There has been lots of napping

And lots of treats!

Sunday we had a very early morning!! I was up from 3-4:30 with Colin and Kory got a work call at 4:30 and was up until about 6ish!! So we got home from church and our house was not “showing ready” I was planning on a big nap! I saw I missed a call from our realtor and called her back at 12:54! Her message was we had a showing at 1:00!! We got the house in order in a hurry and got out of the house!

We went to the bookstore and the pet store (animal house as Kaitlin like to call it) She had the best day!! Here is her talking about her adventures!
